You may remember this gem of a video from 2016 - it landed in the Top 100 all time on Youtube (ok, maybe not, but it should have.)
The Restoration House hits close to home with the team for a couple reasons. Nic used to be a member of the Board of Directors for 7 years, and his wife Emily is part of the planning committee for OTE. One of our administrators Michelle is also closely connected to TRH, as her sister and brother-in-law are co-founders. In 2005, Mandy and Daniel Watson began with the vision of a ministry to help single mothers through transitional housing in a community environment. Since then, they've grown and undertaken many projects, one of which is the Village, a community which helps them develop supportive relationships as they grow and build a brighter future. Michelle and her family even live in the Village as well, pouring into the lives of the mothers and kids.
This year, we’re skipping the competition but are thrilled to be a part of it in another way! Along with PYA, the Nic Nicaud Team will be one of two rope sponsors for OTE.
On August 25th, people will be going even higher for The Restoration House than in the past. The historical Trotter Building in downtown Knoxville is 16 stories high! But you don't have to rappel to join in on the fun! Come out on Saturday from 8-4pm to be a part of the action. There's a Block Party happening on the street below with food, games and fun for all. The party will also be immediately adjacent to the Farmers Market on Market Square!
Interested in being a part of this amazing event and cause? Click here to donate. There's still time to help match (or BEAT!) last year's fundraising total of $110,000! OR, pick a buddy to compete against and register to rappel yourself, here. We hope to see you out there next month!
